What are Indices?
Indices are a portfolio of the biggest companies listed in each country.
A stock index is a method of measuring value of the biggest companies of a country.
Indecie values move according to the movement of the stocks inside the index.
Essentially, an index is the family of stocks per country. If the stocks are doing well, the index does well and vice versa.
Many factors can cause Indices prices to rise or fall such as: Earning Season, Positive or Negative news, Health of an entire industry (example: Oil and Technology), Value of Countries respective currency, World and National events just to name a few.
